Many engineering aspirants from other parts of the state also come to Guwahati to prepare for the entrance exam,” said Atul Bora, director of technical education, Assam. He added that introduction of negative marking in CEE from this year helped in selecting the meritorious candidates, who have qualified the test purely on merit.

Officials in the state directorate of technical education (DTE) said the admission process in the engineering institutions will be completed within July. Altogether, 10 candidates from the Guwahati zone made it to the Top Ten list.
